ABOUT ANNA VOYTSEKHOVICH
I am a professional botanist, scientific illustrator, art tutor and award-winning botanical artist. In my artworks I’m trying to bridge science and art. With a PhD in Botany and formal training in natural history illustration, I specialise in highly detailed depictions of plants, fungi, and wildlife that highlight ecological relationships and conservation themes. My artworks have been recognised in major exhibitions across Australia and internationally, with awards including Highly Commended at the Margaret Flockton Award (2021), Best in Show at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show (2023) and beacame a finalist in the Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize (2026). I exhibit and organise exhibitions across Australia and internationally, and teach art workshops in various locations across Australia. Art takes most of my time, but apart from being an artist, I work in bush regeneration to restore critically endangered plant community Eastern Suburbs Banksia Scrub.
