ABOUT LUCIA MIG
LUCiA MiG is a Sydney-based painter whose work moves between portraiture, still life, interiors and landscape. Her practice is described as painting people, places and things from her immediate world and travels, where memory, observation and everyday life quietly overlap.
Her works bring together figures, collected objects and observed environments with a strong sense of familiarity. Thrifted objects, everyday foods and lived-in interiors appear alongside portraits and travel-informed landscapes, where nostalgia is gently held in the subject matter.
Across these subjects, her compositions introduce a quiet tension through cropped forms, shifts in scale and unexpected pairings. Influenced by her background in graphic design, her work balances control and looseness, sitting between observation and memory.
