ABOUT OUR TEACHERS

Louise Hamill is an Australian artist and arts worker, living and working on Gadigal land (Newtown). Louise approaches her practice from an intuitive point of view, using a love of nature to create decorative, spiritually charged artworks, incorporating botanical and natural elements with dynamic colour and textural layering.

Louise has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in Australia and Japan, including Taku Sometani Gallery, Tokyo, Japan, Obon Festival in Aichi, Japan, Cool Change Contemporary, Perth, Western Australia, residencies include Cool Change Contemporary in 2019 & Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts in 2022.

In early 2024 Louise began running and facilitating painting workshops with a focus on fostering the individual creativity of participants. The cornerstones of Louise’s workshops are self expression, mindfulness and creative exploration.

Onnie O’Leary is a local artist, famous or infamous in local Facebook groups for their erotic stickers which have made their way into the public sphere. Their practice is widely varied, comprising tattoos, lithography, painting, illustration and now found object sculpture. Regardless of the medium the work is always sensual and invites a response!

Onnie has a Bachelor of Fine Art from Sydney College of the Arts, USyd. They always have a sketchbook and pencil on their person.
